Warm October Greetings to you all!
I hope that you are all faring well in this transitional time.
One simple yet powerful way to help you manage transitions and maintain balance is to take advantage of yoga nidra for deep rest.
It is my belief that there is so much more than we know/are being told we can do to try to stay well in these challenging times.
Deep balancing, restorative rest for your nervous and immune systems is some of the best medicine ever.
There is increasing realization of the detrimental effects of stress and anxiety on our mental, emotional and physical health especially now.
So please-try the free Rainbow yoga nidra, and/or the free Beach yoga nidra on my you tube channel. You may purchase more yoga nidra and meditation mp3s here and please consider joining us soon for a live zoom class!
Rest deeply while giving your nervous and immune systems the reboot they need!
Anne Lamott says
"Everything works better when you unplug it for a bit-
even you!"
Here I am again reminding you of why we practice:
There should be at least a room, or some corner where no one will find you and disturb you or notice you.
You should be able to untether yourself from the world and set yourself free, loosing all the fine strings and strands of tension that bind you, by sight, by sound, by thought, to the presence of other people.
~ Thomas Merton
The transition through autumn into winter brings the opportunity for deep introspection.
Autumn is the season of letting go and processing grief as gently as the trees release their leaves, softly and without regret. While grieving actual losses is important, I have found it equally important and necessary to give some time and space to grieving that which you may have needed and yet did not have. This gives you insight and information about how to craft your path going forward. Only by being honest and clear about what you need can you expect to get those needs met.
As always, nature teaches and heals. Go outside and watch how gracefully the Earth moves through the seasons and emulate her. This moment is just like this. Breathe and release and start again. Each moment brings a new chance to come to life. Be here now.
In the 5 Element Theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Autumn is represented by the element Metal, which is related to the organs Lung and Large Intestine. Lung in balance is literally inspired; out of balance, grief rules. Large intestine in balance looks for the light, has faith; out of balance may have difficulty letting go.
What inspires you? Knowing this will help you find your sacred path and share your gifts.
What needs to be let go? Grieving losses and turning them into life lessons helps your heart break open.
We have the opportunity in each moment to empower or disempower ourselves. Let autumn inspire you to deliberately and consciously turn inward and consider what really matters to you, what you want to bring into the world and what to leave behind as you move forward.
Let there be a season
when holiness is heard,
and the splendor of living is revealed.
Stunned to stillness by beauty
we remember who we are
and why we are here …
~ Rebecca Parker

🍂Individual Guidance Via Zoom🍂
One size fits all guidance is not what is called for in these critical, transformative times. We are each amazing and unique individuals with sacred gifts. Our only work in life is to find and be who we are here in this lifetime to be.
If you are blazing your own trail, or trying to find your way through the wilderness and you wish for support, I would be honored to be that support and share what I have learned so far on my journey.
It is my deepest heart wish that no one feel unseen, unheard or alone in any way.

🍂
when the world
goes mad
be wildly kind
to everyone
everyone
everyone
everyone
you can’t control
much
but you control how
you treat others
in these breaking news
heartbreaking times
when nothing feels
certain
let your raw kindness
be a certainty
allow your compassion
to become a North Star
stamped up in
the sky for
others to follow
back home
~ John Roedel
Take gentle care and be wildly kind to yourself-and then let that wild kindness spill out into the world.
I wish you the courage to be inspired, to let go of resistance and surrender to this moment as it is
Nothing is ever lost-the released energy is compost for the universe.
All is sacred in the cycle of the seasons and life
Sending you wishes for deep healing, release and sweet, sweet rest
Love
gina
